After your baby shower you are left with a mountain of wonderful gifts, and the excitement of awaiting your new
baby’s arrival, but you’ll also want to take some time to send out baby shower thank you cards to all your guests.
Depending on the size of your shower, this can seem like a daunting task, especially in light of everything else
you need to do to prepare for the baby’s arrival, but you can make it easy for yourself.
Prepare Ahead Of Time
Before your shower even begins, anticipate that you will want to send out thank you notes. Get a friend or
relative to volunteer to keep a list of gifts and their givers while you are opening them at the shower.
This way you don’t have to worry about keeping gift tags with gifts, and when you sit down to write your baby
shower thank yous all you will need in front of you is this list. You can even have your volunteer include little
notes next to each gift, things that you want to remember to include in the thank you note. This doesn’t have to be
anything extensive, just a few short words.
Set A Deadline
While a baby shower thank you note can never be too late, it is customary after any event to try and get your
thank you notes out in a timely manner. To keep your effort organized, set a target date before the shower for
getting your baby shower thank cards in the mail.
If you made a list of all your gifts this deadline will be easy to keep. Don’t be afraid to ask for help. Get
the person that volunteered to make your gift list help you get them out. Invite this person over for lunch and
hammer it out over good food.
Another way to ease the process of getting your baby shower thank you notes out is to take advantage of your
home computer. Use a pre-designed template either online or in your desktop publishing software, then you can type
each personalized message on your computer and print out each card.
This will be much faster than doing them all by hand, but it won’t sacrifice your personal touch. Once you’ve
printed all your baby shower thank you cards you can take a few minutes to personally sign each one. Save even more
time and print your envelopes as well.
