Twin Baby Shower Games
Twin Baby Shower Games
A baby shower for a double blessing can end up taking twice the planning – a set of twins changes everything!
However, coming up with some fun ways to celebrate twins at a baby shower can be easy. There are plenty of rousing
twin baby shower games, as well as many traditional baby shower games that can be adapted to fit the twin
theme.
Diaper Tag Team Race
The diaper tag team race is one of the most challenging twin baby shower games. You will need a baby doll, a
cloth diaper, and safety pins. Divide the guests into teams of two, and time each team with a stopwatch while
they try to diaper the baby doll correctly. The mother-to-be should determine the winning team according to the
speed and overall neatness of the diapering job. Where does the challenging part come in? Each team member may only
use one hand to diaper the doll – showing the importance of teamwork!
Sock Matching Game
In preparation for the shower, gather about one dozen pairs of baby socks, 0-6 months, in a variety of colors
and patterns. For the game, separate all of the socks and toss them in a pile. Have each guest take their turn
pairing as many socks as possible in 15 seconds. Alternatively, base the winner on how much time it takes each
guest to pair every sock. Depending on which scoring method will be used, the guest with the highest number of
matched pairs or the fastest time will be the winner and receive a small prize if desired.
Baby Babble
Baby Babble is a fun activity to create at home, and is also available as one of the many free printable twin
baby shower games. The Baby Babble game should be comprised of about twenty words – things that come in pairs of
two, in keeping with the twins theme. Scramble the letters in each word. To play, provide each guest with a copy of
the words and a pencil. Allow five minutes for the guests to try their hand at unscrambling the words.
Alternatively, play as long as it takes for someone to unscramble them all and become the winner.
Twin Trivia
A twin trivia game is a clever way to keep the guests on the edge of their seats. Create a list of fifteen to
twenty questions, all about twins. Some examples of questions might include, “two are called twins – what are six
called?” or “what are the names of the red-haired twins in the 'Harry Potter' series?” Be sure to make an answer
key for quick reference. The questions can be verbally called out, with small prizes awarded to guests who raise
their hands with the correct answers, or written with a prize awarded for most correct answers.
Twin baby shower games are a great way to celebrate the double blessing for the parents-to-be. They are sure to
keep the guests entertained and help the party to be a big success. In addition to this, since many twin baby
shower games can be created at home or printed for free online, they are also an economical party planning choice
to help save as much money as possible for the children’s’ futures.
